LINCOLN — Although no official count has been made before, Nebraska’s football support staff for 2022 could be as big as it has ever been.
With the addition of director of player development William Prince – who flew in from southern Mississippi to replace Marcus Castro-Walker – NU have further bolstered their off-court operations. The Huskers have already added senior director of player personnel Vince Guinta and offensive quality control staff member Austin Whipple — whose father Mark is the NU offensive coordinator — this offseason.
NU now has nearly 30 administrative/support staff. The World-Herald does not count full-time football assistants or nutrition/training experts who work in multiple sports, but does count strength coaches, administrative assistants and graduate football assistants, who can help with the field training.
