Western Sydney Wanderers FC today confirmed the departure of coaching and support staff from the club’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s Football Department.

Wanderers have bid farewell to assistant manager Gary van Egmond, who joined the club at the end of December last year.

van Egmond has worked alongside head coach Mark Rudan for the past five months in the first-team setup.

William Tan, Academy and Events Coordinator, will be leaving the club in early June for an overseas opportunity after working closely at the Academy for the past five years.

Tan was instrumental in creating Wanderers Academy and the Academy wouldn’t be what it is today without his unwavering passion and hard work to help the next generation of red and black gamers navigate the system.

Equipment manager Connor McNicol leaves the club after five years of coordinating and liaising with the men’s, women’s and academy teams in the Wanderers A-League.

One of the most important members of the back room staff, McNicol was instrumental in enabling the coaching staff and teams to do their jobs and was imperative to the daily running of the club.

Strength and conditioning coach Andy Davies leaves after arriving on Australian shores in May 2019 with Wanderers after a long career overseas.

Davies worked under several coaches during his time with the Rouge et Noir and played a vital role in the preparation and recovery processes of the players.

Data analyst, Aaron Borowski, is ending his time with the club after joining four years ago as a trainee before rising through the ranks of the Wanderers football department to work with the club’s first team.

Assistant coach Labinot Haliti will transition to the Wanderers Academy setup.

The Wanderers would like to thank Gary, William, Connor, Andy and Aaron for their hard work and wish them and their families all the best for the future.
