PIPPA Boss, the managing director of The Arches Rhayader and District Community Support for nearly 10 years, is about to hand over the reins to someone new.

Pippa is able to reflect on a mountain of good work done for the local community during this time, including opening the community nursery, raising funds for a brand new minibus and accessible car, opening a charity shop and the launch of several new projects, while The Arches has been revamped into a community center and resource centre, including Rhayader Foodbank.

“I spent an amazing decade at The Arches,” said Pippa.

“Having the opportunity to lead one of the largest and most valued organizations in the community has been a privilege.

“While I’m here, we opened our fabulous community nursery, raised funds for a brand new minibus and accessible car, opened our charity shop and for a few years our furniture unit, and launched several new projects including Memory Lane, Cooking Club and Ageless Cycling.

“The Arches has been revamped into a community center and resource centre, including Rhayader Foodbank. The best part has been working with so many amazing staff and volunteers over the years, I will miss them all, but it’s time to venture into new pastures and let someone else take Rhayader and the district’s community support for the future.
