New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced a financial plan for 50,000 community support staff (CSS) working at the Panchayat level as part of the “Shakti Mission” in the state .
“All community support staff will receive an annual uniform allowance of Rs 1,000 and one-time financial assistance of Rs 5,000 to purchase their preferred smartphone,” said a statement from the Office of the Chief of Ministers (CMO).
“All Community Resource Persons – Community Mobilization (CRP-CM) will receive a monthly fee of Rs 3,000, as well as Rs 350 per month for travel expenses and Rs 150 per month for a telephone allowance totaling Rs. 250 Rs “, he added.
Stating that “Mission Shakti” has become a life-changing movement for 70 Lakh women in Odisha, the CMO said that “during the current year the Women Self Help Group under Mission Shakti received a bank loan of a record Rs 6,000 crore. “
“In addition, Rs 200 crore has been deposited into the SHG bank account for an interest subsidy,” he added.
