Narcotics Anonymous meetings are back in the White Lake area. Starting Monday, March 7, the support group meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7-8:30 p.m. at the White Lake United Methodist Church-Whitehall Campus Praise Center at 117 S. Division in Whitehall.

There is also a 24-hour statewide information hotline at 1-800-230-4085 for anyone in need, and resources can also be found at www.michigan-na.org.

David N., (the group does not use full surnames), said that meetings are continuous, regardless of holidays, and that the group is “like a family”. While on vacation, he said they “express a lot of extra gratitude these days.”

“We take turns chairing the meetings,” David said. “We try to engage people with less time.”

He explained that chairing a meeting is made as easy as possible and the person reads from a prepared document.
